The Power of STEM Learning and Development

FLL and FTC are not just about building robots; they are comprehensive programs that promote STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) learning and development. Through these programs, children engage in hands-on activities that challenge their problem-solving abilities, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.

By participating in FLL and FTC, children learn to:

  • Apply scientific and mathematical concepts to real-world challenges
  • Develop coding and programming skills
  • Collaborate effectively with their peers
  • Communicate their ideas and solutions
  • Cultivate creativity and innovation
  • Fostering Entrepreneurial Mindsets

Beyond the technical skills, FLL and FTC instill valuable entrepreneurial mindsets in participants. These programs encourage students to think like entrepreneurs, identify problems, and develop innovative solutions. They learn to manage projects, allocate resources, and present their ideas effectively – skills that are highly sought after in today's competitive job market.

Competition Outcomes and Achievements

FLL and FTC teams compete in regional, state, and national competitions, where they showcase their robots, present their projects, and engage in exciting challenges. These competitions provide a platform for students to demonstrate their skills, gain recognition, and experience the thrill of friendly competition.

Participation in FLL and FTC has been proven to have a positive impact on students' academic performance, confidence, and overall personal development. Many participants have gone on to pursue STEM-related careers, start their own businesses, or contribute to groundbreaking innovations.

Support Our Future Innovators

At Build, RVA, we believe in empowering the next generation of innovators and problem-solvers. That's why we are committed to sponsoring FLL and FTC teams at a low cost of just $25 per student. However, we need your support to make this program accessible to as many children as possible.

We invite local businesses and organizations to become sponsors and contribute to the growth and success of our FLL and FTC teams. Your sponsorship, no matter the amount, will directly impact the lives of our young innovators, providing them with invaluable opportunities for learning, growth, and personal development. Together, we can create a brighter future for our children and our community. To sponsor or support the Build robotics teams, email [email protected] for more information.
